You can have a great day in downtown Crestview and get some amazing food at the Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off.
Chili and Mardi Gras
The Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off is coming up on Saturday, February 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place at Hub City Smokehouse & Grill.
The event will be combined with the Mardi Gras block party, so come ready to celebrate the season! Dress up in Mardi Gras colors, masks, or beads. And your furry friends are also invited! Feel free to dress up your dog in Mardi Gras wares, too. It’s going to be a great day to hang out in downtown Crestview. You’ll get to enjoy live music and vendors at the block party.
At the Great Bowls of Fire Chili Cook-Off, attendees have a very important job. They have to vote for the best chili present! They’ll have a chance to put a ticket in the bucket of their favorite chili cook at their booth. The chili cook with the most votes will win the People’s Choice award and $100. The chilis will also be ranked by judges. Awards and prizes will be given to the first, second, and third place winners.
Starting at 11 a.m., you can buy tickets to vote for the People’s Choice award. You can buy three tickets for $5. Tasting will be available all day. At 2 p.m., the judges will taste the chilis, and you can find out their decision at the award ceremony at 4 p.m.
