Boggy Fest 2019

When and Where

This year’s Boggy Fest will be held on October 18, 19, and 20. It will run from noon to midnight on Friday, from 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $15 on Friday, $20 on Saturday, and $10 on Sunday. A weekend pass is also available for $30. Kids 10 years old and younger may enter for free. The festival grounds are located at 603 Highway 85 North, Niceville, Florida 32578.

Live Music

Country music is still the central focus of Boggy Fest, but you can listen out for a few other genres as well. Bennie & the Jets will play hits from Elton John’s catalog, while Troy Laz will bring some modern pop stylings to the stage. The Molly Ringwalds have entertained crowds near and far with their nostalgic ‘80s covers, and The Voice’s Kirk Jay will showcase the vocal talent that has already captivated a national audience. Country fans will be thrilled with the 2019 headliners, as big names like Trace Adkins and Colt Ford will come to Niceville for the festival.

New Name, Same Festival

For years, Niceville’s long-running music festival was known as the Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival, but this year marks a simple change. The name has been shortened to “Boggy Fest” for clarity’s sake, and to reflect Niceville’s original name. The community was known as Boggy from the mid-1800s until 1910, when the postmaster’s daughter selected the new nomenclature. While “Mullet” has been dropped from the title, patrons can rest assured that the fish will still be prominently featured at the festival.
