When and Where

The show will go on at Vinyl Music Hall on Thursday, August 22. The music starts at 7 p.m., with Arkansas’ deFrance opening the night. Tickets start at $20 for general admission, and you can order yours through Ticketfly. Vinyl Music Hall is located at 2 South Palafox Street, Pensacola, Florida 32502.

Elements

While the band has not released a full-length album in a few years, they did recently drop several EPs in a surprisingly quick turnaround time. They turned out Water in early 2018 and followed up with another EP, Wind that September. Back in February, they released a third EP, titled Fire. These are all part of their “Elements” series, which is intended to be completed in a two-year time frame.

Unexpected Guests

While cross-country tours always offer their fair share of surprises, the band was beside themselves when they discovered stowaways on their tour bus this summer. Having just arrived in Ocala after leaving Nashville, they could distinctly hear an unusual sound emanating from their tour bus. A quick inspection revealed that six kittens had hitched a ride with the band. A call to the bus yard back in Nashville confirmed that a mother cat lived on the lot with a litter of six. Arrangements were made so that “Nashville Six” would receive caring accommodations at a rescue organization, and the search began to find a good home for the Music City transplants.

Did You Know?

The band is affectionately named after Dr. Hazel Kirkland Williams, a Gainesville missionary who operated a shelter to provide food, clothing, and other support for those in need, both in Florida and beyond. She worked diligently to ship essential supplies to the needy in Haiti, Pakistan, and all around the world, sharing love and compassion wherever the opportunity arose. The band follows suit with their “Lyrics For Life” charity, which brings artists together for shows and auctions benefiting medical research and care.
